COVID-19Update:

KEEP YOUR BRAIN AND BODY FIT AT THE MEMORY TREE™!

Our classes are now available on zoom Five Days a week!

Because of the pandemic we’ve transformed our program, bringing our unique mix of exercises for your brain and body directly into your home. With a computer, smart-phone, or tablet you can join your classmates for adventures in learning designed to maximize your potential and fight memory loss.

FIGHTING BACK AGAINST MEMORY LOSS!

It turns out the old saying “Use it or lose it” applies to brain fitness as well as muscles.  If you’ve noticed mild memory loss, or perhaps have been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, there are things you can do to “exercise” you brain.

We created The Memory Tree program for people like you.  Think of us as a gym for your brain, but without the sweat!  We have a diverse line-up of great classes that help your brain and work your memory.  We feature a warm and welcoming environment, interesting instructors, and the most delicious cookies as a snack at each session!

We want to get your brain learning and your body moving because research proves this can help push back against aging.

The Memory Tree is NYC's first program solely devoted to people with mild memory problems and early stage Alzheimer's disease.

CLASSES DESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND

Our learning environment is welcoming and nurturing.  Our specially trained instructors adjust the classes to respond to the special needs of people coping with mild memory loss.

So, while our classes are about many topics, the underlying “lesson” is always about maximizing your memory.

There is no stigma, no judgment, and no homework.  We just want you to help you grow.

IS THE MEMORY TREE RIGHT FOR YOU?

The Memory Tree is just for people with mild memory loss or early-stage Alzheimer’s disease.  Our classes are not appropriate for people with moderate to advanced memory loss. They would find our activities frustrating and would hold back the group.

For this reason, we conduct a private interview with all new participants to make sure that we would be a good fit.

There are  other programs in the region for people with more advanced memory loss, and we’d be happy to put you in touch with them..

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
As a not for profit organization we aim to keep The Memory Tree affordable by anyone who wants to attend.  Accordingly we have developed a sliding tuition scale.  One of our guiding principles is that tuition should never be an insurmountable barrier to participation.

CAN I DONATE? YES!
We rely on donations to help defray the expenses of running the program.  Our not-for-profit organization receives no governmental subsidy, and class fees do not over all our costs.  You can make a donation on line  by clicking here, or send a check made payable to The Early Alzheimer’s Foundation Inc @ 150 West 55th Street, Suite 4A, New York, NY 10019.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Use the contact form below or contact us at EAFoundation@Gmail.com.  We’ll contact you for a phone or in-person interview.  Together we will determine whether the program is appropriate for you and which of our sites is available.

We ask that you don’t just “drop in” during our classes because we will not have staff available to interview you without a prior appointment.
